In November of 1954, the concept of establishing a local community theatre was born in Chambersburg. That night 11 eager and aspiring artists from Chambersburg and Shippensburg decided to begin with a one show season featuring Male Animal. |

How we started |
|
CCT is a volunteer organization, so we rely on our members and others to get the work (and fun) done. Our members do everything from directing to acting, designing & building sets to selling tickets, serving on the board of directors to fund-raising.
An annual membership fee provides the opportunity to serve on committees such as Play Reading, Costumes or Patrons. Also included in the membership package is a bi-monthly newsletter The Footlighter.
Annual membership dues are $15 for adults (age 18 and older), $5 for Juniors (age 17 and under). We also offer a family membership (unlimited number of members) for $30.
For more information about membership in CCT just e-mail us at info@cctonline.org. |

Where we are now |
|
Since that humble beginnning, we have produced more than 150 shows including dramas and comedies, mysteries and musicals, all-time favorites and first-time originals. Our seasons now include four shows and run from September to May. |
|
CCT is a non-profit organization. We rely on ticket sales and donations to fund our productions and operating budget. Without the generous support of our patrons and corporate sponsors we would not be able to provide quality, affordable “live” theatre for the entire community. Supporting Cast Campaign: Donors who make a tax-deductible contribution will be listed in the corresponding category in our season program. To be part of the Supporting Cast e-mail us at info@cctonline.org for more information. |
