We celebrate the arts in our communities by providing
opportunities to
cultivate, explore, promote and enjoy the arts.

part of The Council's effort to support the arts and cultural activities in our
community, we provide:
Here's a sampling of what the Councils
brings to the community, and related costs: |

IceFest, $40,000: Annual festival
celebrating winter with the magic of ice carving, chili cook-off, dancing, art
and more; in partnership with Downtown Business Council and Downtown
Chambersburg Incorporated.

TGIF Performing Arts Series, $6,000: Free
noontime performances in music, dance, theatre and storytelling.

Missoula Children's Theatre, $10,000:
Week-long professional theatre experience presenting various acts for students in grades K - 12.

Bi-monthly Newsletter, $8,500: Bi-monthly
print and electronic publication featuring arts-related articles, organizations
and events.

CELEBRATE! The Arts at Old
Market Day, $6,000: Annual performance festival held in conjunction with
ChambersFest celebrating the arts for all ages.

ARTS Express!, $11,000: Year-round
fine-arts enrichment program offered free to children in grades 2-5.

Summer Concerts-in-the-Park, $4,000:
Concerts of diverse musical styles held May-August at
Memorial Park Kiwanis Bandshell.

Gallery at the Council for the
Arts, $7,500: Gallery exhibits with public receptions featuring the works of
local artists and craftsmen.
