The book HOW TO TEACH YOUR CHILD TO READ AT HOME will be very useful to parents who either homeschool or wish to introduce their children to reading in a natural way.

There are suggestions on how to get children interested in print, how to develop the sound awareness necessary to learn to read, how to learn the letters of the alphabet, how to make simple books for beginning reading, and how to use writing to develop letter sound correspondence as well as to learn beginning sight words. There are prompts to use when children get stuck on a word or make an error.
