The January meeting of the Mason Dixon Corvette Club was held on January 14, 2008 at Tony’s in Hagerstown.. President Jeff Bishop called the meeting to order. On a motion made by Tom Martin and 2^nd by Bob Sease the minutes were accepted. Treasurers Report was read by Dick Bender an on a motion made by Ralph Helman and 2^nd by Jay Gift were approved as corrected.

Jay Gift reported May 3^rd & May 4^th Hershey Hill Climb. May 10^th MDCC car show at Buchanan Automotive and May 17^th AACA in Flintstone, MD.

· Dick Bender has hat’s for sale $10.00 a piece. They come in pink, blue, purple & black. One size fits all.

• Adera Laughlin announced the Holiday/Awards Banquet will be 2-9-08 at the

Waynesboro County Club. The price will be $25.00 A sign up sheet was sent around. Need count & money by 1-25-08. Happy Hour starts at 5:30 PM dinner will be at 6:30 PM. Following is the menu:

Teriyaki Flank Steak Stir-Fry, Baked Ham, Jamaican Jerk Chicken

Potatoes au Gratin, Broccoli, Cauliflower & Carrots Blend

Toss Salad and Vanilla Ice Cream with Choc. Syrup on the side

Directions to the Waynesboro Country Club: From Waynesboro Route 16 (Buchanan Trail) go East to North East Avenue across from the Waynesboro Mall, turn North onto North East Avenue, go to stop sign (about .3 miles) bear right on to Country Club Road go 2.0 miles turn right go over bridge Club house is on the left go around the building to the parking lot.

If coming from Rouzerville go to the AC & T turn onto Old Forge Road go about 1.7 miles to 4 way stop, turn left onto Mentzer Gap Road go .8 miles to Fish & Game Road turn left onto Fish & Game Road, go to stop sign, turn left toward Waynesboro, go around a couple of bends turn left onto Eighenbrode Lane, go left over bridge, go around building to the parking lot.

• Ron Flegel said Buchanan Auto is our new sponsor. NOTE; corrected date for the car show is May 10, 2008.. They will be doing 100 new cling ons for our 35^th Anniversary. They will be printing the Newsletter and mailing them. More information to follow on the car show.

There is a Web site where you can sign up for Cruises. The e-mails received will be sent to the Chairman of the cruise.

· Two new members for the month of January. We now have 143 members. We

need you to bring in new members. A new application is on our web site.

• Spring Cruise will be April 26, 2008. Bob & Suzy Sease are putting it together.

We will be going to Harpers Ferry, WV. Meeting place and time to come later.

Sign up sheet will be passed around at the February, March & April meetings. The cost is $6.00 dollars to park & ride the shuttle bus and $25.00 for the meal at the Anvil Restaurant.

· The Club Picnic will be July 19, 2008 at Dick & Bonnie Benders house. It is the Club’s 35^th Anniversary. Hope to have some special events Hope everyone can come.

· BOB’S VETTE CORNER, if you have any interesting information you would like to put in let Bob know.

· Dickie reported that M & S Harley Davidson is having a Mother’s Day Poker Run May 10, 2008. Classic Cars, Vettes and bikes are welcome.

• Tom Martin reported Parade for the Veterans Children from Scotland School will be May 10, 2008 meet at 11:00 AM

· Tony Haugh won the 50/50 $25.00

• On a motion made by Tom Martin and 2^nd by Bob Sease meeting was

adjourned at 8:20 P.M.
