The October meeting of the Mason Dixon Corvette Club was held on October 13, 2008 at Green Village, Chambersburg, PA. President Jeff Bishop called the meeting to order. On a motion made by Ralph Helman and 2^nd by Bobbie Smith the minutes were accepted.

On a motion made by Peggi Helman and 2^nd by Tom Shughart the treasurers report was accepted.

Jay Gift & Bob Laughlin were at Hershey for an AACA Show.

• Dick Bender has hat’s for sale $10.00 a piece. They come in pink, blue, purple & black. One size fits all.

• Jeff Bishop announce the Fall Cruise was held on Oct. 12, 2008. Jeff reported that there were 13 cars. The weather was great, everyone seem to have a good time.

Denny and Sandy Burns will be doing next years Fall Cruise.

• Dickie had information on the 2009 calendars, if interested please let Dickie know

Orders must be paid prior to order by Nov. meeting. $12.00 each. Stock or Custom.

• Ron Flegel reported that Mont Alto Fire Company and MDCC show was held at their new Community Center on Sept. 27, 2008. There were 11 cars there. We gave $110.00 to the Fire Company.

• No new member for the month of October. We have 130 as of 10-13-08. We

need you to bring in new members. A new application is on our web site.

· "Where Is The Banner". If anyone knows where the banner is would you please return it to the club.

· Dickie read a letter from the Children’s Aid Society (Frances Leiter Center) thanking us for the donation we gave them.

· Bob Laughlin asked if there was any interest on doing the Holloween Parade,

Monday Nov. 3 rain date Tuesday Nov. 4. We will leave the Church (East of Mercersburg at 6:30 PM

• Bob Laughlin showed the pictures that were taken at the picnic and if you are interested in one, please let Bob know. They are $42.00 each. There are 4 different pictures to choose from.

· Dickie read a letter regarding (Coats for Kids).On a vote we will be passing the hat at the Nov. & Dec. meeting for a collection and the club will also give $200.00. The money will be split between the Martinsburg, WV and a local chapter.

· Start thinking who you would like to nominate for next years officers. Nov. & Dec. nominations will be taken and election will be held at the December meeting.

• Suzy Sease announced the Awards Banquet will be held on February 21, 2009 at the Waynesboro Country Club. Give all suggestions for awards to Bob Laughlin. Bob will sending out ballots for your suggestions.

· Herb Hopsch won the 50/50 $22.50

· Ron Flegel announced Waynesboro Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday Nov. 22, 2008. We will meet at the Wayneboro Tennis Club on Route #16 at 1:00 P.M.

· On a motion made by Jay Gift and 2^nd by Jim Wagner we will not be throwing candy at the parades from now on.

· On a motion made by Lisa Myers and 2^nd by Jay Gift the October meeting

was adjourned at 8:25 PM.
