Why Do WE Have To Pay ?           I spoke a little on the tougher penalties for those who wish to ignore the law and prey on the innocent.  Now I would like to address the issue of GUN CONTROL, Yes I have heard all of the arguments,
have read the statistics, have seen the propaganda published by the narrow minded imbeciles that call themselves the watchdogs of our society !  To them I say HOGWASH !!!  The silly crybabies have called for legislation that will penalize the honest, law abiding, responsible gun owner, and allow the criminal element FREE REIGN to prey on us even more !   They have now made it illegal for children to carry weapons to school.  Will someone tell me when it WAS legal or OK to do so ????   AS far as I know is is illegal for anyone under the age of 21 to own a handgun in this state, so why not just enforce the laws we have on the books.  Now I know what your next cop-out is going to be!
"If the parents didn't have the gun, little Johnny wouldn't have found it, wouldn't have carried it to school, and wouldn't have killed 3,261
innocent people !"  Again HOGWASH !!  If little Johnny's parents were responsible  Little Johnny would not have been playing with, or had access to the firearm in question !   I am not saying that EVERYONE should have a firearm, that is a choice to be made by the individual, the same as the choice to own one !   What I am saying is that we need to educate firearm owners instead of trying to intimidate them into surrendering their right to own them !  Impose HARSH penalties for the misuse of a firearm, and let it be known that all offenders WILL be tried as an adult in the case of gun related  crimes !
    So therefore if little Johnny wants to commit mass murder with daddies firearm, well then little Johnny is looking at the death penalty.   So what if he is only 14 years old, he did the crime of a capital nature so let him suffer the ultimate penalty.  No more bleeding heart crap for the offenders, take off the kid gloves and force them to be accountable for their deeds !!  As for the adults responsible for the firearm involved inflict harsh penalties if certain
criteria had not been met in the storage and care of the weapons involved !!
    I am getting off the subject here a bit, that was the last rant I should have went on about this in !!   What I am trying to say here is that the right to own a firearm is GUARANTEED in the constitution, and it has saved many a life in the defense of home and family !
    If we disarm America, how much easier would it be for someone to break in your home, steal your belongings, cause physical harm to your families, and terrorize us all ?  If we remove the threat of bodily harm to those who would harm us, what chance do we have against the predators ?  I'll tell you  NONE !!!!!
    Now think about this logically, will you ?  If you were the criminal, and you knew that I lived alone , unarmed, would you think twice about coming through my door ?  Of course not !!  Now If you new that there was a chance that I was armed, and will use a weapon to defend myself, NOW would you be so willing to charge through my door and make trouble !    Right I thought so !!
    Another situation, if all of America were to be disarmed, I do believe that this would open the door for more terroristic activity, more assaults, more robberies, more crime against individuals.  As of now, you have no idea who has that gun by the bed, or that concealed weapon on their person.  This gives the wrongdoer pause to think, so our weapons are more than just a freedom, they are a deterrent to crime in general !  We do not need tougher gun laws, we need tougher laws for the lawbreakers !
    Case in point, are you actually STUPID enough to believe that just because we make some one wait 5 days to a month to take possession of a newly bought firearm {Thank God Pennsylvania has had the intelligence to realize what a crock that was !} That someone who is going to commit a crime is going to go through the LEGAL purchase of his weapon of choice, POPPYCOCK !  He is going to go down to the corner, get an illegal weapon off of some one use it that night , and quite possibly dispose of it later without a trail leading back to him !
{or so he thinks !}
    No !    Even if you outlawed all guns in this country the criminal element would still have them, and law abiding citizens would be defenseless against the onslaught of lawlessness that would take place!
    Now for all you chowder heads out there who say that guns are dangerous, go get a real life and worry about what you are going to do when someone tries to assault you or your family !  OOPS, sorry, a namby pamby wimp that would hang on to a cop-out like that more than likely would run and let his wife and children be victimized by some hood !    I must tell you I have had a .38 caliber revolver on my headboard every night for the past 7 years, have carried it many places {legally licensed of course} and I have yet to see it intentionally hurt anyone !!    It is nothing more than a tool, such as a hammer or crowbar !  You can be killed just as dead with a baseball bat !!  A screwdriver, even a kitchen knife !!  So where do we stop.  let us go back to the caveman times, regress all of our modern weapons of destruction and death.  Some damn fool will pick up a rock and kill someone with that !!!  NOW WHAT????  I suppose you idiots want to outlaw rocks too!!!!!
    I guess the point I am trying to make, if you haven't figured it out yet, is that the gun is harmless, it is a harmless as a houseplant !  That is until someone with the wrong intentions pick it up !   Or some MORON  leaves it within reach or easy access to a child !  Then it becomes a deadly as a DRUNK DRIVER !
    I am sure all of you would allow a 5 year old to play with you kitchen cutlery, so you just leave it out so it is within easy reach of the child. Furthermore I'll bet you never have told the child of the dangers of playing with a sharp object !   RIGHT ??  Wrong !  You have,  you keep it away from the child, have told him about getting hurt by touching or playing with the knife.  So why can't you do the same thing with your firearms.  Besides that there are locking devices that allow quick access to your weapon, and the child cannot harm themselves with it !
    I have heard all the excuses, but it all boils down to the fact that any accidents that children are involved with pertaining to firearms ARE primarily the parents fault !  They are the ones that killed their child or the child next door.  Just through common stupidity, laziness, and irresponsibility !  YES I agree these individuals are too damn stupid to have the right to own a firearm, and if they are THAT dumb and careless, just maybe they should forget to breathe while they are at it !
    The weapon is not to blame, ignorance, carelessness, laziness, and ineptitude are our real enemies here.  If you own a firearm, for the love of God, keep it secured, locked up in a manner that will prevent a child from playing with it !  Educate your children, let them know there is an instrument of destruction in the home, take them shooting with you {you do practice with your weapon, DON'T YOU ???}, allow them the opportunity to shoot with you if it is possible.  The less forbidden and secret you are about it the less of a chance the child will sneak a peak at your weapons !   Keep your weapon and ammo separated.  All but the primary home defense gun, use a locking device on that one, one that will allow quick access, but prevent a child from discharging it !!  If you are able to spend the money on a weapon, you are able to spend the money on safety devices for that weapon !!   If not leave it in the store, YOU aren't smart enough to own it !
    If you don't own a weapon, and don't want one, HEY that's fine. That again is your own personal choice !   BUT do not tell me that a firearm is dangerous, a firearm will kill, a firearm is an accident waiting to happen !  Remember a firearm is only a tool, used properly, it will bring about proficiency in target shooting, perhaps put food on the table, and Heaven forbid be used to save your life !  Used improperly or irresponsibly it will bring about heartache, maiming, destruction, and death.  These are the choices of the individual holding the gun.  Pretty much the same thing as holding the HAMMER , HUH?
So we as a nation should turn our attention from the tool and penalize the user of such tool, allow us "craftsmen" our sport, our fun. and even to some our livelihood !  Remember , ANYTHING can be used as a weapon,  The open hand is a deadly weapon with the right training, an automobile is a deadly weapon in the hands of a drunk, or substance abuser !  A kitchen knife is a death sentence for someone on the receiving end of the thrust !   I have known people who can kill you with a ball point pen !   Furthermore, don't forget about the ROCK !
It was used to commit the first MURDER  in history !
    So before you go off ranting about the dangers of guns, ask yourself how many other ways are there kill someone without them ?
Do you honestly think taking our guns is the answer?  If after this your answer is still "yes".  I really feel sorry for you, and a word of caution, stay away from cars, knives, pens, hammers, screwdrivers, and especially ........ROCKS !!!!!   Better yet, just go hide in that ivory tower you are living in, the world has no use for narrow minded, insecure, paranoid crybabies !
    I will sleep very well tonight knowing that my home is secure, that my family is safe, and the liberties afforded all of under the constitution have not yet been stripped away by a few so called peoples' representatives !
